Tips & Tricks for YOUR Boudoir Session

BEFORE your session, it is important to stay hydrated & keep moisturized. This is important because we will be getting up close & personal with you, your body and your skin. There is nothing worse than trying to put makeup on dry, flaky skin and having every close-up shot of your skin looking like a desert!

I also do not recommend over doing face moisturizing, or trying new skin products prior to your session. This is only in case your skin has a negative reaction to new products. As for moisturizing, you don’t want to overdo it as you may then get some pimples from too much oil. **If you have sensitive skin, it can help to bring your own makeup**

It is also important to show up with clean, dry hair. This way, if a stylist is doing your hair, it will hold the product & style better which means it will last longer.

Feel free to save some photos on your phone of styles you like. This way you can show the stylist and they will have a better idea of what look You are going for!

WHAT TO WEAR.. For the outfits you choose to bring; I encourage you to try them on ahead of time. Whether it’s lingerie or Calvin Klein bralettes, make sure it fits & that you feel killer in it! **Removing any tags on the clothing is also appreciated**

THE AFTERCARE.. DON’T PANIC! However I will warn you that you may be a bit stiff / sore the day after your session. A lot of boudoir posing involves pointing toes, arching your back & twisting.

While this looks great for photos, we are often not using these muscles in our day to day lives. Nothing an over the counter pain relieving pill & some stretching can’t help with!

Everyone’s bodies are different. I don’t mean size or shape. I’m talking about flexibility & range of motion. As someone who has been in a roll over, my body is now limited to certain movements & positions.

While you might find some of the poses difficult or uncomfortable, it should NEVER hurt! We can always alter any poses if you are in pain.
